Adrián Niño in doubt for Málaga's Metropolitano debut
The Málaga forward felt a muscular twinge in the 12th minute against Fulham and will be assessed in the coming days.
Málaga CF closed their preseason with a draw against Fulham (2-2) in the Copa del Sol Trophy, but the bad news was Adrián Niño's injury. According to *Sport*, the forward had to leave La Rosaleda in the 12th minute after feeling a muscular problem, giving way to Rafa Rodríguez.
Coach Juanfran Funes confirmed that the attacker experienced discomfort and that they will need to monitor his recovery. The medical team won't be able to precisely determine the extent of the injury until 48 hours have passed. The absence comes at the worst possible time: the Málaga side face their league debut against Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano in less than a week.
Málaga's injury list is growing. Murillo, Calero, Moussa, Dotor and Ochoa (suspended) won't make the debut, and now Niño joins the list of concerns. The forward started in the Copa del Sol Trophy and now sees his presence at the Metropolitano in jeopardy due to this muscular issue that everyone wanted to avoid.
