Cañizares exhausted with Peter Lim and slams Valencia's transfer window

Valencia legend and former goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares criticized owner Peter Lim's management, saying the transfer market offers no hope whatsoever.

Santiago Cañizares, a Valencia legend and former international goalkeeper, launched a public attack on Peter Lim's management of Valencia. During an appearance on El Partidazo de COPE, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, Cañizares voiced strong criticism of the club's institutional direction.

"The Valencia transfer market offers me absolutely no hope," Cañizares stated, clarifying that his criticism targets the club's structure rather than Valencia supporters. The former goalkeeper emphasized that the main issue goes beyond signings alone—the club lacks a solid long-term project that enables players to thrive.

"I have no confidence whatsoever in Peter Lim and his management. My confidence is exhausted," he declared firmly. Cañizares questioned the owner's capability to run the club, stressing that his "complete lack of involvement" means incoming players feel neither clear objectives nor real pressure. Valencia faces significant challenges in the summer transfer market heading into the new season.
