Diomande completes medical at Valdebebas but misses Budapest trip

Yan Diomande wrapped up his first day as a Real Madrid player with administrative tasks and a medical exam at Valdebebas, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Ivorian defender, the club's most expensive signing ever, didn't make the squad José Mourinho is taking to Budapest for the Ferencváros clash.

During his arrival, Diomande sorted contractual matters, completed medical assessments and got to know the training facilities. He also greeted his teammates and had a chat with Mourinho, one of the key backers of his move.

The player will join team training next Monday after the trip to Hungary. His first minutes in white could come in the Teresa Herrera final on August 12th against Deportivo de la Coruña, should Mourinho deem it necessary and if Diomande's physical condition allows.
