English defender Trevoh Chalobah joins Como from Chelsea for €30 million plus add-ons, signing a contract until 2031.
Como is pressing ahead with its reinforcement plans following the club's historic qualification for the Champions League. The Italian side has signed English defender Trevoh Chalobah, 27, from Chelsea for €30 million plus €6 million in add-ons, according to Mundo Deportivo. The player has agreed a deal until 2031.
Chalobah, who can play as either a centre-back or full-back, is familiar to Cesc Fàbregas from their time together at Chelsea, where they crossed paths during training sessions. Although he never became a regular starter at Stamford Bridge, the English defender did represent his country at this summer's tournament. "I'm excited and honoured to be here at Como: it's an ambitious and growing project," he said upon joining, expressing his enthusiasm for working once again under the Catalan coach and bringing his experience to the Milan-based club's project.
