Venezia's interest drives up Liso fee: Mallorca and Zaragoza agree higher price

The transfer of Adrián Liso to Mallorca has become more expensive in the final stages. According to Sport, Venezia had shown willingness to pay up to 3.5 million euros for the winger, forcing the Balearic side to dig deeper into their pockets. As a result, Real Zaragoza will now receive a sum higher than the 3 million euros initially agreed.

Moreover, Zaragoza will also receive a small amount this season for Liso's loan, and retain between 20 and 30% of the player's economic rights. Despite the adjustment in figures, there was never real danger of the deal collapsing: Mallorca showed genuine commitment and the player preferred to stay in Spain, even without continuing in the top flight.

Liso did not train with Zaragoza and will travel to Palma during the day for his medical examination. The official announcement is most likely to come on Thursday once formalities are completed.
