The English midfielder is confident he can show his best form and help Tottenham reach their ambitions under the Italian boss.
Conor Gallagher is determined to put a difficult first season behind him at Tottenham. The midfielder, who joined from Atlético Madrid for £35m in January, has endured a rough ride since his move, arriving during the managerial chaos that saw Thomas Frank replaced by Igor Tudor.
With Roberto De Zerbi now in charge, things are turning around for both the club and Gallagher himself. Spurs managed to avoid Championship relegation, and while the player featured in that survival fight, he admits he wasn't able to showcase his true abilities until late in the campaign.
"It's time to kick on and show the fans what I can do," Gallagher told Sky Sports in an exclusive interview. "I want to be at my best to help the club go to where we should be. Every footballer goes through tough times, and I'm really happy we came out of it," the midfielder added, expressing his optimism about the season ahead under De Zerbi's management.
