Done deal: Juanlu joins Bournemouth until 2030

Sevilla have officially confirmed the transfer of Juanlu Sánchez to Bournemouth, as reported by the Andalusian club. The full-back, developed through their academy since age 14, joins the Premier League after agreeing a deal worth €11 million fixed plus €2 million in variables.

The under-21 international and Olympic champion from Paris 2024 has penned a four-year contract until 2030. The Montequinto-born defender has already passed his medical and will join the English side after leaving Luis García Plaza's training camp in the Netherlands.

Juanlu accumulated 109 appearances for Sevilla's first team and wore the number 16 shirt, inherited from legend Antonio Puerta, during his final campaign. The number is now available again at Nervión, with Kike Salas, recently named captain by García Plaza, among the main candidates to inherit it. The full-back was targeted by Napoli last summer and also attracted interest from Wolverhampton and Everton.
