Official: Sow joins Genoa from Sevilla for €4m

Sevilla and Genoa have reached an agreement for the transfer of Swiss international midfielder Djibril Sow, the Spanish club announced. The deal is worth €4 million.

Sow, 29, of Senegalese descent, had a contract running until June 2028 and leaves after making one hundred official appearances across three seasons (2023-2026) in red and white. The midfielder scored eight goals and provided thirteen assists since arriving in summer 2023 from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The player became a key piece of equilibrium in Sevilla's midfield thanks to his versatility. He also established himself as a regular for the Swiss national team in major tournaments, with his most recent experience being the 2026 World Cup, where Switzerland reached the quarter-finals. Sevilla wished him «luck in this new stage of his career».
