Raúl Moro ruled out 3-4 weeks with hamstring injury

MARCA reports Raúl Moro picked up the injury vs Rayo and could return between Oct 11 and Oct 18 depending on recovery.

Raúl Moro, of AD Ceuta FC, is set to miss three to four weeks due to a right-leg hamstring injury, according to MARCA. The forward suffered the problem late on in the match against Rayo Vallecano at El Sadar and was unable to finish the game.

Injury and possible return dates

Moro came on 10 minutes into the second half for Barja, but after a strong run trying to deliver a cross into the box, he was forced off in the 90th minute. There was early concern the injury could be worse, especially given the player’s reaction, but the expected recovery period has narrowed to a three-to-four-week window.

MARCA adds that his return could line up with Navarra’s Liga return, with a potential comeback on Sunday October 11 vs Real Betis. If everything needs a bit more time, the next possible target would be the Sunday October 18 fixture against Racing.

Speaking to MARCA, coach Luis Miguel Ramis described the setback: "He’s sad, affected because he sees himself recovering, building consistency again, and this is a step back." He also stressed the benefit of the time available: "For a professional it’s one of the worst situations that can happen. The advantage is that now there are three weeks to recover and, after the international break, in a couple of matches he’ll be with us".
