Zakaria Eddahchouri injures his wrist and set for surgery
Deportivo report Zakaria Eddahchouri has a wrist injury sustained during training and will need surgery.
Deportivo has another setback in their injury list: Zakaria Eddahchouri hurt his wrist during Thursday’s training session at the Abegondo training ground, as MARCA reports.
After the club’s medical team assessed him, the forward will need to undergo surgery. While there’s no exact return date yet, MARCA says his recovery will likely take several weeks, depending on how the wrist evolves.
Third issue this week
The problem adds to the absences of Marc Casadó, who was operated on for a fracture in his right collarbone, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is already out after successful surgery on his right knee. Together, the club is dealing with three major blows that will force coach Antonio Hidalgo to adjust plans for upcoming matches.
A boost in the recovery room
The positive news, according to MARCA, is that Noé Carrillo is in the final stage of his rehabilitation. The expectation is that he could be ready to play again after the international break. With Eddahchouri awaiting surgery and other injuries ongoing, Deportivo will have to reshuffle their squad in the immediate term.
