Claudia Pina shrugs off a knee knock as Aitana targets the squad

FC Barcelona Women head to Logroño this Friday ahead of Saturday’s Liga F match against Logroño United (16:30, DAZN). After storming past Paris FC 5-2 on their Champions bow, the day’s biggest focus was Claudia Pina, who finished the European game struggling after a knock to the knee.

Pere Romeu said right after that tie that, in principle, she is “fine”, and this Friday she should be able to train normally, even if she may do part of the session with extra specificity. She will be able to travel if the coach deems it appropriate following the final session.

Aitana Bonmatí is the one expected to join the trip with almost total certainty, as Romeu confirmed in the pre-match, though he kept some caution for whatever happens in Friday’s last preparation. Bonmatí’s return also comes after early-season treatment for pains linked to the operation she underwent following a serious ankle injury.
