Monza, Werder Bremen and Getafe are vying for the French midfielder leaving Trabzonspor after his loan spell at Seville.
Batista Mendy will leave Trabzonspor this summer, and there's already movement on the market for him. According to L'Équipe, three European clubs are competing for the 26-year-old French midfielder: Monza (freshly promoted to Serie A), Werder Bremen and Getafe, who could accelerate negotiations this very week.
The former Angers player has just returned to Istanbul after completing a loan spell at Seville, where he made 27 league appearances (19 as a starter). His versatility is one of his major assets: he can operate as a defensive midfielder or centre-back.
A move with options
Mendy is under contract with the Turkish club until June 2027, with an option to extend by one more year. Although no formal offers have yet been tabled, competition is heating up. Torino is also keeping tabs on the deal and has been monitoring his situation for some time, though appears as less favoured than the Italian-German-Spanish trio that has lined up in recent days.
