AC Milan draw 1-1 at Sassuolo as Amorim’s side hit third stalemate
The Rossoneri remain unbeaten after six Serie A rounds, but another 1-1 means a third draw and four points off Inter/Lazio.
The AC Milan led by Rúben Amorim are still unbeaten after the first six Serie A matchdays, yet they dropped points in their trip to Sassuolo. The game ended 1-1, their third draw, and leaves them four points behind leaders Inter and Lazio. Luka Modric set up Adrien Rabiot for the 0-1 (63'), before Cas Odenthal equalised four minutes later (68').
Milan struggled to get going early on: in the first half-hour there were no shots on target. Amorim’s halftime changes included introducing Luka Modric, who immediately helped their build-up by finding Rabiot in the box for a left-foot finish to the near post. After letting in the equaliser, Sassuolo played more directly and punished a defensive lapse, while Maignan kept things together with key saves.
