Adrián Cuez Quirós sent off in Tenerife-Cádiz for threatening the fourth official

Cádiz’s 1-1 draw at Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium against Tenerife also featured a disciplinary storm. In the 78th minute, the club delegate Adrián Cuez Quirós was sent off after threatening the fourth official.

As stated in the referee’s report, the fourth official had warned the visiting bench for standing up to show disagreement with a decision. After that, Cuez Quirós approached the fourth referee in a threatening tone, saying: “¡Has ido a chocar con el entrenador y lo tenemos grabado, ya verás!”.

The case now goes to the RFEF Disciplinary Committee. Depending on the ruling, it could be treated as contempt toward the refereeing body under article 124, carrying a ban of two to three matches or up to a month. It could also be assessed as conduct against sporting order (up to four games or a €602 fine) or as a protest under article 127, with one to three matches for delegates.
