Agirrezabala: two Barça visits, 13 goals conceded

Julen Agirrezabala is having a tough time whenever Barcelona comes up on the fixture list. As MARCA reports, the 26-year-old goalkeeper has conceded 13 goals in two games against the Blaugrana across the last two seasons, doing so with two different clubs.

The first instance came when he was with Valencia at the Johan Cruyff stadium. It was September 14, 2025, and Valencia were beaten 6-0 in a match where the Camp Nou was unavailable due to construction. That night the hosts did nothing but find the net again and again, with goals from Fermín (two) and Raphinha (two), plus Lewandowski (two), taking the score to 6-0.

A second visit, same problem

The second visit was on September 16, 2026, now wearing Racing de Santander colours. According to MARCA, the story repeated itself: Barcelona won 7-2. Still, Agirrezabala had a small bright spot—despite conceding seven, he saved a penalty from Lamine Yamal in the first half.

The goals were scored in this order: Cancelo (1-0), Raphinha (2-0), Villalibre (own goal) to make it 3-1, Raphinha (4-1 and 5-2), Gabriel Jesus (6-2) and Lamine Yamal (7-2).

Overall, with that “6+7” tally acting like a real burden in the numbers, Agirrezabala’s challenge is clear the next time Barcelona is on the schedule.
