Aitor Ruibal returns partially to Real Betis training after meniscus
Ruibal works with the group four months after an external meniscus injury, while Dani Ceballos returns for the Ceuta friendly.
Aitor Ruibal, a Real Betis full-back, trained partly with the squad on Wednesday, returning to rondos four months after surgery for an external meniscus injury. As MARCA reports, it’s the first step in getting back under Pellegrini, though he still needs “a few more weeks” before being fully available.
The same session also saw Dani Ceballos come back after missing the previous day for load management. He is pushing to be available for tomorrow’s friendly against Ceuta.
With the three-week international break ongoing, Betis scheduled a charity match on Thursday at La Cartuja. Marc Bartra continued with individual work, Antony wasn’t in the session, and none of the nine internationals trained, so Pellegrini filled the squad with youth players.
