Alberto Reina: better form after summer, key for Oviedo in Ceuta
The midfielder wants Oviedo to build on their Eibar win (Sunday, 14:00).
Midfielder Alberto Reina returns to Ceuta with Real Oviedo, a city where he spent five seasons, aiming to back up that his performances are improving after a summer that, he says, affected him. “These last few games you could see a better Reina, and I’m going to keep building it,” he said at his appearance at El Requexón.
A special return
Reina pointed to the transfer-window turmoil as the reason he wasn’t at his best early on: “It was a busy summer and I wasn’t at one hundred percent because of external things.” He added that outside calls kept him from being fully sharp on the pitch.
He also described the match as “the most special one of the year as a visiting team” and thanked José Juan Romero, his former coach, for the trust he gave him.
Focus on points
On recent events in Ceuta, Reina chose caution: “They’re political matters… I don’t think I should get involved and I hope it’s resolved soon and everything returns to normal.” Ahead of the Sunday 14:00 kickoff, he set the target: “We have to get the most out of each of us to take all three points back with us.” Source: MARCA.
