Álex Baena and Robin Le Normand start as Spain beat Czechia 3-1
Atleti internationals shine in the Nations League: Spain dominate Group A3 with a 3-1 win and no apparent injuries.
It was a positive day for Atletico Madrid’s internationals: Robin Le Normand and Álex Baena started for Spain in Oviedo and, in principle, none finished with physical issues after the Nations League match. La Roja won 3-1 against Czechia at Carlos Tartiere.
Spain took control early with Lamine Yamal scoring at five minutes, and Rodri Hernández doubled the lead before half-time. Jiří Sláma pulled one back for the visitors in the second half, but Mikel Merino sealed it late after Krejčí was sent off.
Le Normand played the full 90 minutes, completing 99 accurate passes, with very few risks—he committed just one foul. Baena was on for 45 minutes, replaced at the break by Fermín López, and created three attempts before the interval, including one big chance. Elsewhere, Jonathan David played 61 minutes for Canada vs Peru (2-0), while Jan Oblak saw Slovenia lose 2-1 in Switzerland despite making five saves.
