Álex Marchal after U-20 duty: tipped to play the Anoeta final with Real Sociedad

Álex Marchal is a possible option for Real Sociedad for the Euskal Herria Txapela final this Friday against Athletic at Anoeta. His involvement was uncertain because he was on Spain U-20 duty, and there wasn’t much room for him to get minutes straight back with the first team.

As Mundo Deportivo reports, the winger didn’t play at the tournament: Spain U-20 beat Mexico without him featuring. He finished the international stint on Wednesday after four days of concentration in Madrid, arriving straight from Ceuta, and returned to Donostia on Thursday to train at Zubieta. From there, the club will decide on his participation, with a view also to helping Sanse on Sunday vs Granada.
