Alex Marchal returns for Real Sociedad after nearly six weeks
Pellegrino Matarazzo brought the Navarro on in the 79th minute vs Málaga (2-5) after a month and a half without minutes
Alex Marchal, a forward for Real Sociedad, returned to first-team action after nearly six weeks without playing. It happened in the 79th minute against Málaga, when Pellegrino Matarazzo replaced Orri Óskarsson with Marchal with the 2-5 result already in hand.
The last official appearance for the Navarro had been on September 7 at the Martínez Valero against Elche. Before then, he had also featured in the Txapela against Athletic.
After that mid-September stint, Marchal did not come off the bench or start in league games versus Atlético Madrid, Valencia and Deportivo, nor in the European matches against Bournemouth and Union Saint-Gilloise. As Mundo Deportivo reports, Matarazzo is keeping him in mind for squad rotations.
