Alidu Seidu to undergo medical on Friday in Nice

Alidu Seidu is taking the next step in his move to Nice: L'Équipe says the Rennes defender will undergo his medical on Friday to finalise a loan deal.

The report adds that he is scheduled to arrive Thursday night on the French Riviera, where he will complete the medical checks. Nice’s aim is to have him registered in time for their next league fixture.

Key date for his debut

The club wants Alidu Seidu ready for the home match against Lille on Sunday at 17:15. The plan is for him to integrate as quickly as possible after landing.

As for the terms, L'Équipe clarifies that this loan includes no buy option, which is a significant detail compared to what was previously being discussed. Earlier reporting pointed to a loan with an option to purchase, but this latest update changes that condition.

If registration and the medical go to plan, Nice will secure a defensive reinforcement straight away while giving the player room to settle physically and tactically.
