Allan Saint-Maximin debuts as Lens reach Coupe de France quarters, 4-2

RC Lens eliminate Estac Troyes in the Coupe de France Round of 16 with a 4-2 win at Stade de l’Aube, securing a spot in the quarter-finals. The goals come from Sotoca, Sima (two) and Bulatovic, even if Troyes, who were top of Ligue 2, repeatedly made it uncomfortable.

Allan Saint-Maximin, Lens’ latest signing, played his first minutes for the Sang et Or and was involved in the late phases. In one quick counter, he teed up Saïd with a behind-the-legs pass, but it didn’t end in a goal as the defense and goalkeeper held up. RMC Sport also notes Matthieu Udol’s impact as Lens managed to see the game through.
