Alvaro Arbeloa’s Fulham edge Hull City 1-0
Alex Iwobi scored in the 33rd minute as Fulham dominated at Craven Cottage to secure three vital points.
Alvaro Arbeloa’s Fulham beat Hull City 1-0 at Craven Cottage thanks to Alex Iwobi’s first-half strike (33rd minute). The hosts pressed from the start, with Iwobi nearly opening the scoring as early as the second minute, and kept control for long stretches, even if Hull stayed compact and hard to break down.
Control without reward
After Norton-Cuffy made a poor clearance, the ball fell kindly in the box and Iwobi finished with his right foot to make it 1-0. By halftime, Fulham were clearly on top, reaching 87% possession, while Oscar Bobb kept supplying danger. Second half looked similar: Gonzalo met Iwobi’s cross and headed the ball onto the post (73rd minute).
The game stayed tense late on. Fulham managed the lead until the end, when Sessegnon was shown a straight red for a late studs-up challenge on Vaz (94th minute). The referee also booked King, Berge, Herrington and Slater. With three points in the bag, Fulham climbed out of the relegation zone provisionally.
