Gouiri was hurt at the start of the Zambia match and the federation cleared him to return to Marseille for treatment.
Amine Gouiri, the Algeria forward linked with Marseille, injured his quadriceps after taking a knock early in the match against Zambia, this Friday, during the CAN qualifiers.
As L'Équipe reports, the federation released him so he could return to Marseille and be assessed by the club’s medical staff. His next availability will depend on the diagnosis and how the injury settles.
