Ander Herrera returns to the Real Zaragoza XI this Friday
The captain comes back after four matches out and will take advantage of Peter Ademo’s suspension, ahead of the Europa clash.
Ander Herrera is set to return to the Real Zaragoza XI this Friday, after making his comeback last Sunday following four matches on the sidelines. The captain had been sidelined by persistent lower back pain, missing two games through injury before spending the next two matches on the bench with no minutes.
He already got playing time in the previous round against Murcia: he came on in the second half and played the final 20 minutes. Now, barring any last-minute issue, he is expected to line up in midfield with Terrer and Rubén Díez.
A suspension creates the spot
His return comes because Peter Ademo will miss the match through suspension after receiving a second yellow card against Murcia in the second half. With him out, Zaragoza will feature three academy players in midfield who had not previously started together in the same XI, aiming to regain the top spot and get back to winning after two consecutive draws. Herrera will also be looking to celebrate his first goal since returning, after a missed penalty against Antequera at the Ibercaja Estadio.
