Ander Herrera trains progressively after lumbalgia at Real Zaragoza
Zaragoza captain Ander Herrera missed matches vs Cartagena and Ibiza due to persistent lumbalgia and could still be available for Teruel.
Real Zaragoza saw Ander Herrera train with the group in a progressive way this Thursday after a persistent lumbalgia kept him out of the last two matches. The official diagnosis came last week on Friday, but he had already been sidelined after withdrawing from the match against Juventud de Torremolinos with thigh discomfort, specifically in the hamstring area.
Eyes on Teruel
With only two training sessions left before Sunday’s game at the Ibercaja Stadium against Teruel, the plan points to Herrera continuing to build his workload and remaining a doubt for the squad. Zaragoza also have the absence of Diego Monzón: he is with Ecuador Under-20 for friendlies vs Peru on Saturday and the following Tuesday.
The Thursday session also included players from the academy, with goalkeeper Marcos Manolache and midfielder Jaime Tobajas involved, as the team worked on its game plan for Teruel.
