Sky Sports reports that Alex Isak (thigh) and Cody Gakpo (ankle) will not be available for the game. Iraola also dealt with other setbacks after key men returned early to the AXA Training Centre: Jeremy Jacquet (hamstring) is included in the list of early returns.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Liverpool boss addressed his forward options directly: “Alex Isak and Cody Gakpo will not play the game. They are not ready. They both don't look like long-term.” The absence is particularly damaging for the No 9 role, especially after the Swedish forward had started the Premier League season in strong form, scoring four times so far.
