Andrés Martín returns to training with José Alberto: set for 11 October

Racing’s recovery update: the winger is back at full pace after a knee sprain and could be ready for 11 October vs Valencia.

Racing’s training session brought a positive update: Andrés Martín is now working at the same pace as his teammates and is on track to feature against Valencia next 11 October, as reported by MARCA.

The Andalusian suffered a knee sprain in late August against Elche at El Sardinero. At first, the layoff was set at two months, but his recovery has allowed him to shorten the timetable, meaning José Alberto could have him available for that match if there’s no setback.

The session at La Albericia also saw Juan Carlos Arana back on the pitch after missing Wednesday training with a “bocadillo” on Tuesday. Pablo Ramón, dealing with hamstring discomfort, trained separately with the fitness team. Eriksson remains in the infirmary, recovering from a shoulder injury.

And André Almeida should be able to play vs Valencia because his transfer did not include the “fear clause”, though José Alberto will decide whether to start him after the last match against Celta.
