Ángel Torres confirms talks for Jadon Sancho and won’t rule out Parejo

Ángel Torres, president of Getafe, said on Movistar Plus that the club is negotiating for Jadon Sancho and that next week will determine whether those talks end in a deal. He also left the door open to Dani Parejo as an alternative as the blue side looks to add reinforcements.

Torres explained that the injury to Uche meant they couldn’t cover that spot, and that’s why they’re again working on Sancho, “as we did three or four months ago”. On timing, he insisted next week will be key to confirm whether they’ll close the negotiations.

From José Bordalás’ viewpoint, Sancho would fit best because the team needs a winger, even if the Englishman would be the more expensive option. The president added that Parejo’s age would likely mean a lower market value. Sancho is 26 and has been without a club since June 30 after finishing his contract with Manchester United; his most recent stop was a loan spell at Aston Villa.
