Ansu Fati scores in his first start of the season for Monaco

Ansu Fati, of Monaco, opened his season with a goal in his first start: it happened this Thursday versus CSKA Sofia, just before halftime. He received the ball in the box area’s front, controlled it and cut it across to find the net.

The start came after he played the first minutes of the campaign last weekend against Toulouse. His earlier path was affected by injuries that kept him out for too long; when he’s fit, he shows the sharpness that made him stand out from his early days at FC Barcelona as a teenager.

As Mundo Deportivo put it, the goal reflects his long-standing feel for scoring.
