Antonio Hidalgo warns: Real Sociedad under Matarazzo are dangerous
Deportivo head to San Sebastián with Casadó, Aubameyang and Eddahchouri out, while Yeremay’s status remains cautious.
Antonio Hidalgo, coach of Deportivo La Coruña, spoke this Friday at Abegondo and said Real Sociedad arrive as “a lot of attacking potential”. He pointed to the impact “since Matarazzo’s arrival”, adding that the side has “many variants” to hurt opponents: they “put players inside”, move the ball “from side to side”, and rely on “very different” threats in the final third.
Hidalgo asked for calm around Yeremay and confirmed the player is “getting better every day” from his pubalgia. He also said he is happy to count on Amatucci, who will start. On the starting XI, he acknowledged there are “some doubts” regarding the internationals.
The approach for the match
The coach stressed the need to “combine everything”, with teammates able to adapt to different positions and feel comfortable. The Deportivo squad travels with Noé Carrillo as well, after recovering from an ankle issue.
They also included two young forwards from the reserve: Kevin Sánchez and Martín Ochoa.
