Arsenal come back to beat Leeds 2-1 with Calafiori and Guimaraes
Arteta’s side flipped the match after James Justin’s opener, scoring twice in eight minutes to finish 2-1.
Arsenal secured a 2-1 win over Leeds at the Emirates after overturning a tough game. James Justin put the visitors ahead 10 minutes into the second half, but Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimaraes ensured the turnaround.
As Sky Sports reports, Leeds had looked the better side for long stretches and deserved their early momentum. Justin’s strike arrived after a period in which David Raya made several saves, with Leeds holding the joint-best defensive record heading into the match. Calafiori levelled just seven minutes after the opener, and Guimaraes—introduced from the bench—netted the winner.
The result also helped Arsenal bounce back after their 3-0 defeat to Brighton before the international break.
