Arsenal win 0-1 at Nottingham Forest as Madueke strikes
One shot on target was enough for Arsenal to beat Nottingham Forest 0-1 and stay three points behind Manchester City.
The Arsenal left the City Ground with three points thanks to their only shot on target: Noni Madueke scored the 0-1 with a strike that took a big deflection. The winner came after 80 minutes and sent Nottingham Forest into the relegation zone, while Mikel Arteta’s side stayed within three points of the Premier League leaders, Manchester City.
A hard-fought edge
Arsenal dominated possession but couldn’t convert in the first half, registering no shots on target. Kai Havertz went close with a header that drifted wide from a Declan Rice free-kick, and Gabriel’s set-piece effort was cleared almost off the line by Ousmane Diomande.
Forest defended resolutely and looked dangerous on the break, and in stoppage time Murillo almost grabbed an equaliser with a superb solo run, though the score held. Source: Sky Sports.
