Arteta: Arsenal will retake team photo including Saliba
The next squad picture will include William Saliba after his absence from the official 2026/27 photo due to a medical appointment.
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, said the club will take a new team photograph and include William Saliba after the defender was left out of the official 2026/27 picture published earlier this week.
Arteta explained that the club tried to organise the photo three times already, with last-minute cancellations. This time, he pointed to “commercial obligations” and to the fact that some of the people involved had flown in for the shoot.
When asked if Saliba was fine with the situation, Arteta insisted he was “completely fine” and clarified that it “wasn’t in his hands”. He also noted Saliba hasn’t played this season because of a back injury, despite being a key figure with 184 appearances for the club. The comments came ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Nottingham Forest, shown live on Sky Sports on Sunday, according to Sky Sports.
