Athletic Femenino have delivered their best league start in the last five seasons after playing their first five matches: 10 points out of 15 with three wins, one draw and one defeat. Their record includes victories over Badalona Women, Logroño and, most notably, last Sunday against Atlético at Lezama, plus a home draw vs Espanyol and a loss to Eibar in Ipurua.
With these numbers, the Reds and Whites are fourth, behind Barça, Real Madrid and Madrid CFF. Earlier campaigns were weaker: 3 points in the previous season, 7 in 2024-25, 6 in 2023-24 and 4 in 2022-23. The last time they topped this kind of start was 2021-22, when they banked 12 points after four games.
They now aim to keep the momentum this Saturday against Madrid CFF at Fernando Torres in Fuenlabrada.
