Athletic vs Getafe: visitors have four Liga trips with no points
Getafe face San Mamés after four Liga away games without points or goals, following results like 1-0, 3-0 and another 3-0 defeat.
The Athletic Club hosts Getafe tomorrow with a very specific worry: the visitors arrive with four Liga away matches without points and without scoring. If the trend holds, San Mamés is where Getafe will try to stop being the “easy” opponent.
As Mundo Deportivo points out, Getafe are also the league’s least productive side, with just five goals, and they share the worst away record with Racing Santander. Their away campaign started with a 3-0 loss at Mendizorrotza, then defeats by 1-0 came at El Sadar and La Cartuja, and they were swept aside at Camp Nou, losing 3-0 to Barcelona—Gordon netting two minutes in.
For Athletic, the game also brings the sporting challenge from Bordalás, alongside another key matchup: Yuri is set to renew his duel with Carvajal.
