Athletic Women host Valencia: bottom side still searching for a point
Valencia have zero points after six matchdays; Athletic are fourth with 11, with Bibi ruled out.
The Athletic Women take on Valencia tomorrow to restart their league campaign after the weekend break caused by the United States friendlies. The visitors arrive bottom of the table with no points after six games and six straight defeats.
Athletic come into the match on 11 points, aiming to keep their position in the top five. Under Víctor Martín, they boast a strong start: three wins, two draws and one loss. At home, they are also unbeaten this season, beating Badalona (3-1) and Atlético (3-2), and only dropping two points overall on the road to Espanyol (2-2).
Injuries and goalie changes
Víctor Martín will not have central defender Bibi, who has a moderate muscle injury in her left hamstring. He does have both internationals available: goalkeeper Adriana Nanclares played the first two friendlies against Badalona and Logroño, while Clara Pinedo made her debut with the senior national team, after appearing in the league rotation that has alternated between Nanclares and Eunate Astralaga.
