Atleti Women host Logroño aiming to fix their slow start

Atlético de Madrid Femenino want to get back on track in Liga F matchday four: this Saturday, 19 September, they host Logroño United at the Ciudad Deportiva de Alcalá. It’s the second home game of the campaign for the colchoneras, after a tough start that already included matches against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona—good performances, but no points.

Jensen’s goals as the main threat

In their most recent home outing, Atlético had to work hard to beat Deportivo Alavés, with the win coming in the closing minutes. Now they lean on Synne Jensen, who has scored in every match played so far, with the idea of extending her scoring run against a side arriving in fine form.

Logroño United sit 6th with six points, after winning key matches in their first three games, including victories versus Real Sociedad and Valencia CF, as Mundo Deportivo reports. Historically, the head-to-head has tended to favour Atlético, with convincing wins in both clashes in the 25/26 season.

Off the pitch, Atlético have also made moves recently: they confirmed Amaiur Sarriegui will leave for Juventus de Turín, and just 24 hours before this game they signed Gabi Nunes, a Brazilian with experience in Spanish football. With the aim of reaching their second win of the season, Atlético will hope to turn their home advantage into points, with Jensen’s goals at the centre of the plan, according to Mundo Deportivo.
