Aymeric Laporte returns and Djaló is ruled out for Athletic’s squad

Athletic’s squad for tonight’s trip to Valencia (LaLiga matchday 9) brings the return of Aymeric Laporte and the absence of Djaló. The Frenchman had missed time due to injury and is back after being withdrawn for a Rayo match that was eventually suspended, while the winger drops out after returning from Guinea-Bissau with a minor infection.

As Mundo Deportivo reports, Terzic said he would assess the player’s condition, but he did not make the final list. The call-up also includes Christian Imga, in his second appearance with the first team, as Nico Williams and Djaló are missing in his position, alongside Oihan Sancet.

Athletic travel today from Loiu on a charter flight departing at 11:00 and arriving around 13:00 at the Exe Rey Don Jaime hotel. The match at Mestalla starts at 21:00 with Adrián Cordero Vega as referee.
