Ayyoub Bouaddi: City pay record fee as PSG never made a move
The midfielder was linked for months with PSG, but no offer arrived and the deal has landed at Manchester City for a record sum.
Ayyoub Bouaddi is set to join Manchester City after being recruited this summer for a fee described as record-level, despite months of talk placing him very close to the Paris Saint-Germain. The twist is that PSG would not have pushed with an offer, which leaves the move with City.
L'Équipe frames the timing ahead of a direct meeting between the two clubs: they face each other on Wednesday at 21:00. So, when Europe’s champion and PSG cross paths on the pitch, Bouaddi’s future is already settled on the Manchester side.
