Barça Femeni goes into the league break with 14 internationals
The Blaugrana club has 14 players on international duty, including Spain’s pair of friendlies on Oct 10 and 14.
Barça Femeni head into the league break after beating Real Madrid 7-0 with 14 players called up for international duty, 11 from the first team, according to Mundo Deportivo. Spain is the nation with the most Barça presence: Sonia Bermúdez has named Cata Coll, Irene Paredes, Patri Guijarro, Clara Serrajordi and Clàudia Pina.
Pina comes off a ‘poker’ against Real Madrid. Vicky López is also included but withdraws with a minor issue, with Alba Redondo taking her place. Spain play two friendlies versus the United States on October 10 and 14 in Washington and Chester ahead of the Brazil 2027 World Cup, a tournament Spain has already qualified for.
Barça’s youth contingent is also out: Beatriz Pérez, Júlia Pastor and Lúa Arufe (Sub-19) face Sweden in Las Rozas. And for the World Cup qualifiers, Caroline Graham Hansen, Ewa Pajor, Esmee Brugts and Sydney Schertenleib are set for the European play-offs, with the first legs on October 9 and the return legs on October 13.
