Barça lights up Turkey: 1-4 demolition of Galatasaray
Hansi Flick’s side won 1-4 at Ali Sami Yen with goals from Cancelo, Fermín, Gordon and Adeyemi after 1-1 at the break.
Hansi Flick’s Barça beat Galatasaray 1-4 at Ali Sami Yen, turning the “Turkish hell” into a goal-fest and backing up Joan Laporta’s pre-match confidence. The Blaugrana briefly suffered in a sudden burst from their hosts before finishing strongly.
The turning point came just before half-time. The home side took the lead 1-0 through Batrakov (34'), and Cancelo replied with the equaliser 1-1 (43'). A Yilmaz strike was then ruled out by VAR for offside.
From shock to control
After the break, Barça tightened the game and took over. Fermín made it 1-2 (50'), and Gordon added the third to complete the comeback at 1-3. Adeyemi sealed the win on 66’ with a low, angled finish.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the match showed Barça’s authority in every phase. Lamine was central as well: he assisted the 1-2 and helped set up the 1-3, while also delivering several momentum-changing dribbles.
