Barça player ratings vs Real Betis: Yamal shines and Rodri scores
FC Barcelona beat Real Betis 2-4 at La Cartuja, with key goals from Rodri and a special strike by Lamine Yamal.
FC Barcelona left La Cartuja with a 2-4 win over Real Betis after a messy script that briefly turned into a 1-1 and even a short-lived 2-2. In the player ratings, goalkeeper Joan García weathered the attacking pressure, though he looked a bit out of position when the match was leveled.
Yamal sets the tone
Koundé, Cubarsí and Gerard Martín kept the structure in a demanding game. Cubarsí was central at the back and also provided the header assist for the 1-3. Gerard Martín played the first half after a nasty fall, but was replaced at halftime, likely for precaution. Rodri then moved into central defense when Gerard Martín left and scored the 1-2 with a header from a corner. Pedri managed the game’s tempo, while Fermín delivered: he assisted for the 1-2 and was also involved defensively for the 1-3.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring 0-1 with an all-by-himself move and later added another goal involvements, assisting again for the 1-3. Gabriel Jesus struck, even though another effort was ruled out by offside by a whisker. Dani Olmo made it 2-4 with a goal before the end of his spell, and Eric García—who came on for Gerard Martín—also scored but couldn’t finish due to discomfort.
