Barça’s 2026/27 start under Hansi Flick has been so relentless it now comes with a new headline in the record books: 31 goals in the first seven LaLiga matchdays, the club’s highest-ever tally for this stage of the competition, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Seven wins, huge goals

The league run is flawless: seven wins from seven and 21 points from 21. In total, the team averages 4.4 goals per game thanks to results that begin with a 0-5 at Elche and continue with a 2-0 win over Athletic Club, a 5-2 triumph at Rayo Vallecano, a 0-5 away win at Valencia, a 2-4 victory over Levante, a stunning 7-2 at Racing Santander and, most recently, a 1-3 at Sevilla.

In Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, the latest statement performance came from Raphinha, who hit a hat-trick. Sevilla opened the scoring through Youssouf Fofana, but Barça turned it around to take the full points.

Club record, historic context

The 7-2 versus Racing Santander meant Barça had already reached 28 goals in six matchdays, surpassing the previous club record of 23, set in 2011-12 and 1950-51. With the three goals in Sevilla, Barça climbed to 31, establishing a new benchmark after seven rounds.

Looking across LaLiga history, Mundo Deportivo notes that only the Sevilla side from 1940-41 had managed more in this early stretch, with 40 goals.

Raphinha’s firepower and the rest

Mundo Deportivo also highlights Raphinha’s impact: 12 goals in seven matches, making him the league’s top scorer in this stage and beating Leo Messi’s best start (11 in the first seven in 2017/18). But the overall tally isn’t just down to him: Lamine Yamal has 7, Fermín López adds 4, and they’re backed by Karim Adeyemi (2) plus Joao Cancelo, Pedri, Gabriel Jesús and Xavi Espart with 1 each, along with two own goals credited to Barça (Lejeune vs Rayo and Villalibre vs Racing).
