Barcelona name Raphinha and De Jong for Betis clash: squad, absences
Betis-Barcelona on Saturday at 18:30 in La Cartuja: Christensen and Roony Bardghji out, 23 in the matchday squad and Hamza with Barça Atlètic.
Barcelona have included Frenkie de Jong and Raphinha in their squad for Betis-Barcelona this Saturday at 18:30 at La Cartuja. As Mundo Deportivo reports, both returns were confirmed after the last two training sessions and by Hansi Flick, though they were still dependent on the final Friday workout from 16:00 to 17:30.
De Jong comes back after picking up a knock during the World Cup, while Raphinha is back after missing the last two games against Getafe and Galatasaray due to muscle discomfort suffered with Brazil. Flick also said: “Raphinha and De Jong are available.”
Injuries and matchday plan
The only injury absences are Andreas Christensen and Roony Bardghji. With 24 players available but only 23 spots in the matchday squad, Hansi Flick has sent Hamza Abdelkarim to train with Barça Atlètic on Friday so he can play this Saturday against Utebo.
The team will depart at 18:30 and arrive at Eurostars Torre Sevilla (La Cartuja) around 20:15, before returning on Saturday night.
