Barcelona names 22-man squad for Istanbul visit with key absences
The 22 include Lamine Yamal and Pedri, but Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong, Christensen and Roony Bardghji are out.
Barcelona has released its 22-man squad for the trip to Galatasaray on Tuesday for the Champions League league-phase round two, as the team boards for Istanbul. Hansi Flick’s goal is to build on the 5-1 opening win over Feyenoord.
The list includes no Raphinha or Frenkie de Jong, with Andreas Christensen and Roony Bardghji also missing. Flick previewed the situation in the lead-up to the Saturday league match at Getafe (3-0).
Joan Laporta leads the delegation departing 09:45 from El Prat, with the group set for media sessions and training at RAMS Park. Eric García is the main new face: he will make his Champions League 2026-27 debut after serving a suspension for a straight red in last season’s quarter-final second leg against Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano. Laporta said Raphinha is expected back against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday the 20th, while Frenkie de Jong is targeted for the Sevilla match after three and a half months out.
