Barcelona-Real Madrid at Spotify Camp Nou: special mosaic and possible takings record
This Sunday’s Clasico (21:00, DAZN) will feature a mosaic and could beat the Barça-May taquilla record of €16.5m.
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid meet this Sunday (21:00, DAZN) at the Spotify Camp Nou, the second Clasico there since the start of renovations, with a special mosaic planned for the stands. The tradition began in 1992 with Penya Almogàvers, and for this match the club is keeping the exact message under wraps, with fan collaboration.
The last Clasico at the stadium before this one took place on 10 May, after the team returned from exile in Montjuïc. It finished 2-0 for Barça, delivering the Liga title mathematically against Real Madrid. Back then, the entire First and Second Decks were covered with a blue-and-red cartulina mosaic featuring the Barça crest and the slogan “Força Barça”.
In that May match, Barça set their highest takings in a home game versus Real Madrid: €16.5m, driven by 62,213 spectators. This time, the club expects to surpass it thanks to more VIP seats: since early this month there are four VIP rows in the Second Deck instead of one or two. Prices range from €2,400 to €8,000. Three days before kick-off, remaining tickets run from €1,109 (Gol 1ª Graderia) to €2,099 in the central area of Tribuna 1ª Graderia, with dynamic pricing that has climbed since sales began, according to Mundo Deportivo.
