Barcelona return delayed after 2-5 win over Betis ahead of PSG clash
Weather disrupted the flight: the team waited almost three hours at El Prat and will head to Paris for a Tuesday 20:45 Champions match.
FC Barcelona suffered a setback after their 2-5 win at Real Betis. Bad weather prevented the Saturday flight from taking off, and the delegation didn’t get back to Barcelona until Sunday at midday, right before their Champions League game against PSG on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes (20:45).
As RMC Sport reports, the squad, staff and entourage had to sit through nearly three hours of waiting on the plane at El Prat airport. In the early hours, the club opted to spend the night in Seville.
After a short night, Barcelona finally departed Sunday at midday. The arrival in Barcelona was expected around 14:00, with a direct flight to Paris for preparations being discussed. The disruption forces Hansi Flick to adjust: instead of the 11:00 session, the players will do a light recovery workout indoors.
