Barcelona returns to LaLiga’s Management Commission after resigning
The Blaugrana are back almost 18 months after quitting in April 2025, following LaLiga’s VIP box disclosures.
Barcelona is set to return to LaLiga’s Management Commission, almost a year and a half after stepping down. As Mundo Deportivo reports, the club’s last withdrawal came in April 2025, after the league body published information about the operation of the team’s VIP boxes.
The piece also recalls that the Blaugrana sent a letter to LaLiga expressing total disagreement over making the club’s economic information public. In this new commission cycle, along with Barcelona’s return, the Real Sociedad and Athletic Club are also included, while the Real Madrid has already been part of it since 2024.
Mundo Deportivo points to a thaw in relations between Joan Laporta and Javier Tebas. It notes that Laporta helped Tebas during a complaint and subsequent TAD case tied to the disclosure of private information after Miguel Galán’s complaint to the CSD, which was resolved without a sanction for Tebas.
