Bayern answers Real Madrid and pushes Michael Olise to renew through 2029
Herbert Hainer’s message follows the summer rumours: Olise’s deal runs to 2029 and Bayern want him to extend.
Bayern München has shut down the talk linking Michael Olise with Real Madrid: the club president Herbert Hainer said the winger’s contract runs until 2029 and that they want him to renew. Speaking to Bild, Hainer insisted the club “doesn’t feel forced to sell players”.
A clear message
He added the club’s stance: “We make our decisions from a position of strength. Olise is under contract until 2029 and I hope he will extend it.” Bild also reports that Olise would require a renewal clause in the new deal, to keep an exit option.
Bayern’s plan is to make Olise their highest earner, on a level with Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala, who earn around €25 million per year. Olise joined Bayern in 2024 from Crystal Palace for €53 million.
Hainer on Kane
In the same interview, Hainer sounded optimistic about Harry Kane’s renewal, saying talks are going “very well” and that an extension will be confirmed “soon”.
